E-mail Print PDF

Our early years department consists of Nursery and Reception.  We cater for children from the age of 3 up until the end of their Reception year (the academic year when they turn 5) and is also referred to as the Foundation Stage.  Both Nursery and Reception are staffed by a qualified teacher and qualified nursery nurse.

We have capacity for 15 children in Nursery and 10 in Reception.

Nursery children arrive at 9 am and are collected from their separate Nursery entrance at 11.30am.  Reception arrive at 8.45am and undertake a ten minute activity within their class room with their parent/carer.  Reception starts at 9 am.  Their day ends at 3.15 when they are collected from the Nursery entrance.

Funding is available from the local authority for children between the ages 3 and 5.

Mission Statement

Emmanuel School exists to serve parents, and our community through our commitment to educate children.  We pay due attention to the child’s spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, physical and moral development.  The education offered is based on Christian principles, within a biblical frame of reference, and takes place within a loving and disciplined environment where each child is valued and encouraged in achieving their God-given potential.
